Carlsbad, CA (CNS) โ A 32-year-old man was shot dead and injured on Sunday after a party at a resort in Carlsbad, police said.
A bullet was fired at the Marbrisa Carlsbad Resort in the Marbrisa Circle at 2:12 am on Sunday, according to Carlsbad police spokeswoman Jody Reyes.
Police found a man who was not immediately identified suffering from a gunshot wound, Reyes said. A fire department doctor provided assistance and took him to the hospital, where he was in a stable condition on Sunday morning, Reyes said.
Police investigators interviewed several witnesses and gathered evidence.
According to online records, Mississippi-born Bernard Basquez, 19, was arrested on suspicion of mounting a gun in a public place, a misdemeanor, and was detained on bail at a Vista detention facility for $ 15,000. ..
