CARLSBAD, CA โ A free, “Mini-Moon” dreamy escape, a contest sponsored by a San Diego-area resort, is aimed at couples whose grand plans for weddings and honeymoons were squashed in 2020-21 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Lucky lovebirds can win the complimentary, four-night stay at The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, plus tickets for a guided tasting tour of Carlsbad Village hosted by Carlsbad Food Tours and a luxury picnic cabana with Al Fresko Experience featuring dinner from 20|Twenty.
“The last year has been challenging, to say the least, especially for 2020 couples, who have had to postpone or cancel their wedding and honeymoon plans,” said Julie Zahner, Westin Carlsbad area sales director. “We are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel with reopening and wanted to come up with a fun way to ignite happiness and excitement within our community, especially for those whose special days were impacted.”
Entering is simple: The “Love Is An Adventure” contest runs through June 11, and signing up is online here, with a space for sharing your quarantined-love story. The winner will be announced June 12. Read the fine print: Terms and conditions apply.
The Westin Carlsbad is a 50-acre complex in North San Diego County, at 5480 Grand Pacific Drive, Carlsbad, near LEGOLAND, Carlsbad Ranch Flower Fields, golf courses and beaches. Resort info here.
